What we do

RICE
RICE is engaged in building and supporting the distribution channels of basic food, healthcare, and education supplies for orphans, refugees and the communities in which they live.

Our core strengths are in projects and services, technology and community development:

Projects and Services

  1. Identifies those new humanitarian efforts and existing projects in which it can make an impact.
  2. Builds a project team of relief organizations, participating churches, government organizations, and corporate sponsors.
  3. Supplies and trains the team with necessary communication and technology tools.
  4. Utilizes its software and identifies established products to improve communication and knowledge gathering about the project.
  5. The project team gathers and delivers those critical resources needed by existing field staffs in their humanitarian efforts.
  6. RICE plays an active role in building new needed infrastructure including warehouses to facilitate future distribution and long term sustainability.

Technology

Development and implementation of a technology tool and online community.

  • TheGraceExchange.org is a cross sector gift-to-need matching and knowledge data base
  • Critical information on gifts of all kinds including capital, food, volunteer labor, services is captured on the one-side with data and information of relief and community development needs on the other.
  • This expanded resource base and knowledge can be leveraged by humanitarian groups and field personnel to acquire previously unknown or inaccessible resources.
  • This new knowledge provides benefits in strategic planning and improvements to the field process.
  • This donor need matching system and knowledge data base will be accessible by all.

Community Development

Promotion of long-term community development and efficiencies utilizing:

  • Business best practices
  • Critical infrastructure development with improved logistics, efficiencies of scale, common materials, repeatable construction techniques.
  • Business enterprise development.
  • Collaboration with facilitating groups and Universities for research of strategic land use projects, successful practices, and lessons learned.
